How long have you been in business?
Ten Penny Players (TPP) incorporated in 1967. TPP is a 501c3 not for profit NYS chartered corporation.
What is your primary product or service?
Arts in education (AIE), limited edition poetry publications & performance
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Co-Directors are professional writers, artists, New York State licensed educators & educational administrators, children/disability/animal rights advocates.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Each program is unique to the needs of K-16 grade general population & special ed students who are all published by TPP in limited edition chapbooks/anthologies. Waterways: Poetry in the Mainstream, TPP's adult poetry magazine, has been published 11 times a year since 1979.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
One site for print publication & distant learning; diverse educational & performance venues (including schools, museums, cultural centers, libraries, parks, service learning sites). Through the Internet we receive submissions from and publish poets worldwide.

What type of payments do you accept?
Subscriptions to Waterways: Poetry in the Mainstream are $45 annually; $5 sample issue. Cost of Residencies at educational sites are negotiated. All cash contributions to Ten Penny Players are tax deductible to the full extent of the law.
Which areas do you service?
Real time residencies in NYC 5 boroughs; Nassau, Suffolk & Westchester counties. Distant Learning via computer.

Co-Directors of TPP are Richard Spiegel and Barbara Fisher.
